Aerial silks (also known as aerial tissues, fabric, ribbon, or tissu, depending on personal preference) is a type of performance sport in which one or more artists perform aerial acrobatics by climbing and hanging from a special suspended fabric.
We offer Silks classes for everyone, from Absolute Beginners to Elite.
Tie yourself up in pretty knots and poses in each of our levelled classes. Silks terms are structured sequentially and classes are booked per term (unless otherwise specified) in order to build on foundational skills over the weeks.

Bring together strength, gracefulness and beauty in the Lyra. Working at comfortable heights to create beautiful shapes and movement, term classes are a challenge and workout but a whole heap of fun!
Structured sequentially, classes are booked per term (unless otherwise specified) in order to build on foundational skills and strength in the Lyra over the term timeframe.
Learn a mix of different styled choreography using a chair for creating beautiful poses and moves. Wear regular heels (with an ankle strap) and enjoy floor work, balance work and dance flow.
Get in touch with your own body, fall in love with your curves and explore what it means to be a Sultry, Sexy, Confident woman! Learn sexy burlesque dance moves and then put them all together into an entertaining burlesque routine.
There are many styles of Burlesque and each of our instructors will take you through elements from these based on their loves! From classically refined and elegant, to light-hearted and humorous the sky really is the limit for Burlesque. If you want to learn to perform a captivating Striptease, or simply wear glamorous costumes and learn some choreography – we embrace it all at The Neon Loft.
Investing in your strength and fitness will help your progress in other fields. Do you want to be able to nail those harder moves and poses on the Pole, Lyra and Silks? Think a strong and controlled invert, Ayesha, Handsprings, Elbow Hangs, controlled transitions or just keeping up with fast paced choreography!
There comes a time when cross-training in strength becomes imperative to our success on our chosen equipment. If you want to see real improvements in your body tone and fitness levels, or simply want to fast track your progression on the pole or aerials – train your muscles in our complementary strength and fitness classes. Circuits, body weight exercises, and variations to suit from absolute beginners to conditioned athletes our Strength and Fitness classes are a great way to get moving with your goals in mind.
These classes are compiled of whole body movements as well as isolated movements and drills to build your confidence, control and stability in moves on your chosen equipment. Combining upper and lower body functional movements with isometric exercises we’ll target specific areas as well as whole body conditioning.
Our Stretch and Flex class is where we delve deeper into our stretches to compliment our more splitty and back bendy moves and give a wider range of comfortable motion. Holding specialised stretches to work deep into the main muscle groups used in our crafts and enhance the overall flexibility overall of our core, legs, arms and shoulders.
In order to see real improvements, in this class each static stretch is held for longer to reach extra depth in the stretch and encourage breathing during. This increases circulation, encourages relaxation of the muscles and removes lactic acid build up. Alongside these held stretches, active flexibility stretches will also help to build greater control and joint stability moving throughout and keeping the muscles activated.
Kids will be dreaming of joining a circus after one week of Neon Kids! This class is for ages 6 – 14 years.
A class where energetic kids can build up their body confidence, strength and fitness by getting active in unique and exciting ways!
We don’t do boring! Neon Kids will work on and across our range of equipment over the term of classes which are taught sequentially, in order to safely grow foundational skills in pole, aerial silks, aerial Lyra and acro style fun!
